"Returned to modern shanghai! Chinese cuisine at an affordable price. Started our meal yesterday with their free chips and hot tea. Then proceeded with their Hototay soup and Xiao long bao. Ordered Salt & Pepper Squid and Yang Chow as the rice meal. We've been here more than 5 times already. Dining experience is not bad but does not stand out as well. If you are looking for a safe & affordable chinese restaurant, I would recommend Modern Shang. Ms. Sheen also remembers us dining before. That was a nice touch for customer service. If I were to recommend dishes it would be the Hototay Soup, Mantao, and XLB."

"Good quality Chinese food for an affordable price. We particularly enjoyed the foo young fried rice, which we rate a 5/5! However, the premium pork siomai was a bit average for our taste, earning a 3/5, as did the spring rolls. The spicy wonton was enjoyable, with a solid 4/5. Overall, it was a positive experience, and the service was excellent, especially given that we dined during peak hours."

"Very good chinese food. They have combos or meal sets for sharing. It has a little bit of everything. My favorite is the fried bun. Crispy bottom, soft bun, and juice filling. The price is just right. Also having the bistro group card adds benefits and discounts. So i suggest you get one... Also works for other restaurants"
